The Bedouin Jahalin community of Al Khan Al Ahmar near the west bank city of Jericho. The community is about 60 families, they all part of one big family. They live by the traditional ways of Bedouin life which relies on raising livestock and shepherding around their village.  One important structure was built in June 2009 as a primary school and a community center, the building is made of mud and rubber tires, the school built with help and collaboration with Vento di Terra NGO from Italy, without permission of the Israeli government.

After many years of discussion in court, on May 2018- The High Court of Justice has approved the planned demolition of the  Jahalin village by the government along with the village school, the reason of the decision is the claim that the Bedouin settlement in this place is illegal

Since the decision, the villagers have not been evacuated and life continues as usual, to this day.
